WHAT IS RIGHT IS NOT ALWAYS POPULAR; WHAT IS POPULAR IS NOT ALWAYS GOING TO BE RIGHT. An important message to pass on to our kids as they head off to school again this year.
Peg: Thanks for stopping by! I just left a message at your website, too. Boys are so much different than girls are - but they are similar at the same time - especially when it comes to the privacy thing. It depends on what he wants privacy for. I don't let my girls do the IM thing because that's too secretive, and phone calls can be taken in their rooms - but with the doors open. The e-mails aren't private. But, I don't check out journals. I think that because each kid is different, then the way you handle privacy will be different. How's that for a vague answer???
Hi Paula - Yes, I know I have to work at being good! All did go well today - I am going to write something either later tonight or tomorrow. But, for now, suffice it to say the DQ liked her new school, and was treated very nicely. Thank you, dear Lord! I'm heading over your way right now!
I talk to my teen about swearing this week and how we need to represent God. Some of his friends swear and so I was concerned he might join in. I will remember your wise words here.
Hey do me a favor and send a prayer over to Rebekahs Site. www.rebekahspage.blogspot.com
They are facing some tough decisions on radiation and could use some support. Tell 5 new people about her! Thats my challenge today!Thank you and God Bless! (sorry bout the copy and paste comment. Its the quickest way I can get prayer out! hope you see I just am trying to get a little girl some much needed prayer!)
Darlene - Yes, swearing does seem to be fairly prevalent with the teenage population. I always told my kids that it shows others how ignorant you are if you can't come up with anything better than a swear word!
Hi Tyra - I hope all is well with you and yours.
Hi Steve - Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am not sure how to put up the "Prayers for Rebekah" sidebar that I've seen on others blogs. But I do plan on writing about Rebekah tomorrow. In the meantime, I have told family and friends about her, and we are lifting her and her family up in prayer. What you're doing for them is incredible. Keep up the good work!
Valerie, I am surprised you've been married for 30 years. I always thought you had little kids. I never even noticed their ages. I haven't been here enough and that's gotta change.
I have two college age daughters and a precious granddaughter and a husband with whom I have shared my life for 35 years! I am a pscyotherapist in private practice where I counsel individuals, couples, and families.
