When God Steps In

A fellow blogger, Bonnie Bruno, has a new book out in a few days. It's entitled "When God Steps In: Stories of Everyday Grace". You can read about her book at one of her websites, http://whengodstepsin.wordpress.com/about-the-book/ . This website also has a link to Amazon.com or ChristianBooks.com so that you can order this great book. You can also visit her other blogs to get to know this delightful Christian woman at http://macromoments.blogspot.com/ and http://www.bonniebruno.com/ . She's a talented writer and photographer, and she also has a column at http://www.christianwomenonline.net/ .
I'm looking forward to reading this book. The description at Amazon.com states: Life moves at a dizzying pace. Years slip away before we know it, leaving us with a stack of photo albums. But snapshots can't adequately capture the pivotal events that stretch and define our lives - - "aha" moments when God steps in to lovingly mold us into the people he designed us to become. We all experience times such as these. . . an unexpected move changes life forever, a child's joy overwhelms us, a loved one dies, a stranger appears and we reach out to help, a gift from God arrives just in time. Divine appointments and sacred interruptions may show up as ordinary, everyday events or as complex struggles - - with the power to alter our lives forever. When God Steps In: Stories of Everyday Grace offers a close-up look at what can happen when we slow the pace and allow God to speak peace to our hearts. Borrowed from the pages of real lives, these fifty true stories will encourage you to recognize sacred interruptions and to grow not in spite of, but because of them.
One of these true stories is mine. Bonnie approached me over a year ago to write my "story of everyday grace". Thank you, Bonnie, for allowing me to be a part your ministry.
Please consider purchasing Bonnie's book - I am certain you will be touched by all the stories found within.

Val! I didn't realize you were in there, too! We're going to have to meet some day and sign each other's copies. :-)

Jules - I read on your blog a week or so ago that your story was included. I thought I posted a comment - but apparently I didn't - so sorry, I should have mentioned something to you then.

I'd love to meet you - we could meet up in Michigan some day, or we could meet halfway between your place and mine!

Looks like a great book with real stories by real people who are being molded by our real God!!
I am presently at a "sacred interruption" point not being able to teach. I am memorizing Scriptures and letting them soak into my thick skull and hurried heart. I think I will buy the book, too. Val, the empty nest is hitting me harder than I ever actually anticipated. All I can figure is that any circumstance in anyone's life is His design to let us choose to get closer with Jesus! ......James 4:8 works!!!

BTW - I'm in Ohio, too!

Bless you, Donna
